Prosper is a UK charity supporting women in disadvantaged communities of Sierra Leone to break the cycle of poverty.
Our Approach
Our programmes are for women in extreme poverty. With few resources, these women rely on low-income, irregular trading to survive. We offer tools and training that are proven to help them build a pathway out of poverty.
Community Outreach
Using innovative image-based training tools, we equip our participants with the skills, knowledge and tools to increase their income from their businesses.
This means they can build prosperous lives for themselves, their families and their communities.
Business Skills Training
Our pioneering, image-based training empowers women, regardless of literacy levels, to start, grow and sustain successful businesses. It is practical, interactive, and delivered by local organisations who understand the challenges these women face.
Community Savings Banks
We help women set up Savings banks designed for people with limited literacy and numeracy skills where they can safely save, manage money and access small loans. These savings groups are a vital step toward financial independence and long-term security.
Access to Services
We link participants to services such as finance, agricultural goods and services.
